Where Is the Educator Warehouse?
It is located at 986 Hutton Street in a pod behind Diggs-Latham Elementary School near Peter’s Creek Parkway between Business 40 and I-40. Directions Please park in the Diggs Latham Elementary School parking lot and walk between the buildings following the signs to the Educator Warehouse.
What type of items are available at the Warehouse?
The Educator Warehouse is stocked with thousands of new and gently-used classroom supplies and teacher resources donated by the community and local businesses. Pencils, pens, crayons, markers, paper, spiral notebooks, binders, files, folders, lesson plan idea books, bulletin board decorations, name cards, giant picture books, math manipulatives, writing guides, science books, class decorations, and so much more! Supplies are intended for classroom use only. Is there a limit to what I can get? Yes. To ensure all WS/FCS classroom teachers have an opportunity to shop for these classroom supplies, each teacher is allowed to receive up to 25 points of merchandise per visit. All items in the Warehouse have a point value ranging from 1 – 15 points. Because supplies are limited, we ask teachers to please be mindful of other teachers’ needs when shopping. Please only take what is needed for your classroom for that quarter.
How many teachers can shop each day?
To keep from getting too crowded at any given time, we allow 20 teachers per hour to shop in the Warehouse. All teachers are asked to shop only during their designated hour, so be sure to arrive on time! Because there are a limited number of spots open for each day, please do not make a reservation if you are not a classroom teacher. To maximize your time consider pre-ordering basic supplies on the site. They will be waiting for you at check out.
How do I register to shop?
Create an account. Check your email for a link to activate your account. Come back to the site, click the shopping scheduler. Choose a date and submit your booking. Choose your date carefully as you only have one visit per quarter.
What do I do if I need to cancel or change my appointment?
If you must change or cancel your appointment, do so from the shopping scheduler page within 48 hours of your appointment. If you discover you are unable to shop on the day of your appointment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to allow other teachers on the waiting list an opportunity to shop. Teachers who do not contact us within 24 hours before or after their appointment will forfeit their opportunity to shop for that quarter.
What do I do if I cannot get registration to work?
You must have a WS/FC school email address to register. Your account must also be activated. Please make sure you have confirmed your email address before contacting us. If you are a new teacher and do not have a WS / FC school email address yet, please call or email to schedule an appointment.
Can I come if I am not registered or if I am on the waiting list?
No, please do not. Shopping visits are by appointment only. We cannot take teachers who have not registered or who are on the waiting list. The Buddy Program
The Buddy Program is a new incentive introduced in 2019. Our goal is to increase teacher participation and also introduce the Educator Warehouse to teachers who join the school system in the middle of the year. We encourage teachers to invite teachers who have never shopped with us before. When teachers bring their buddy, they will earn 5 points and the buddy will earn 10. To qualify, the invited teacher must be a 1st time shopper at the Educator Warehouse. When teachers arrive at the Warehouse, they will need to let the Check-in volunteer know that they are “BUDDIES.” The Check -In volunteer will give each teacher their cards. Teachers can use their cards on that day or a future day within the year. Cards expire at the end of the school year. Teachers are allowed a maximum of 2 referrals per quarter. A maximum of 10 points may be used per transaction.
The Student Teacher Program
In an effort to increase the number of new teachers in WSFCS, we have introduced the Student Teacher Program. This program was introduced in 2019. The goal of this program is to show Student teachers this great resource within WSFCS. Having access to the warehouse earlier will help them gather supplies for their first year and beyond. Student teachers are eligible to shop for supplies at the Educator Warehouse when accompanied by their WSFCS full-time teacher. Student teachers will not be allowed to shop alone. Student teachers are not required to sign up, but an email from the full-time teacher is highly encouraged.
Who can I contact with other questions? E-mail email@example.com or call 336-671-1078. To register, click to fill out the form.
